Draughts is really difficult, way more overwhelming than chess.

It is very difficult. It is impossible to see where the stones are and are not after a few captures.

(stones = pieces)

And also seeing the tactics is very difficult. Undrstanding strategy is totaly impossible.

And it is impossible to learn something here. Everyone is so good. One just gets crushed without understanding what really happend. More people should play here so one could get even games.

Draughts is indeed not easy to learn ... it looks easy right, just moving simple pieces (unlike chess where you have to learn the movement of some pieces). Until you realize that draughts has more to it than it shows. A lot is hidden under the covers. if you want to know more and learn a few things, buy a 10x10 board and study this. www.fmjd.org/promo/cid.php . You will need some basic skills in terms of combinations that you will have to find elsewhere. There are studies here on lidraughts with some simple combinations. It takes time to get to a decent level !!

I need to get a 10x10 board myself, as @vercrg advises, to move the pieces around and try to do some of the many exercises available.
