The first tournaments with official prizes are a fact! Stifting WFD (Worldchampionship Frisian Draughts) organizes five Frysk! Tournaments in collaboration with Lidraughts. The tournaments are all about the World Championship Frysk! and World Championship Frysk! Qualifier scheduled for March 7 and 8, 2020 in Franeker. The top three of the first four tournaments qualify for the final (fifth) tournament. The winner of the final tournament immediately qualifies for the World Championship Frysk! on March 8, while the remaining 11 finalists earn a ticket for the World Championship Qualifier on March 7. Stifting WFD also made € 200,- prize money available. This amount is divided among the winners of the first four tournaments. Below you can read all information about the five tournaments.

* The tickets for the World Championship Frysk! includes 2 overnight stays (full board) in Franeker.

The first 4 tournaments

The top three of each tournament qualifies for the final tournament. If a player has already been placed, then the next player in that tournament earn a spot in the final tournament. The prize money for the four tournaments is, again, 200,- euros.

Final

The final is planned for January 19, 2020. The final is played by the 12 best players of the previous four tournaments. They compete for one ticket for the World Championship final on March 8, 2020. The remaining 11 players earn a ticket for the World Championship Qualifier Frysk! on March 7, 2020.

Nederlandse versie

De eerste toernooien met officiële prijzen zijn een feit! Stifting WFD (Wereldkampioenschap Fries Dammen) organiseert in samenwerking met Lidraughts vijf toernooien Frysk!. De toernooien staan allen in het teken van het Wereldkampioenschap Frysk! en Wereldkampioenschap Kwalificatie Frysk! die gepland staan op 7 en 8 maart 2020 in Franeker. De top drie van de eerste vier toernooien plaatst zich voor het vijfde finale toernooi. De winnaar van het finaletoernooi plaatst zich direct voor de WK finale op 8 maart, de overige 11 finalisten verdienen een ticket voor de WK kwalificatie op 7 maart. Stifting WFD stelt tevens 200,- euro prijzengeld beschikbaar. Dit wordt verdeeld onder de winnaars van de eerste vier toernooien waarin je je kunt plaatsen voor het finaletoernooi op 19 januari 2020. Hieronder lees je alle informatie over de vijf toernooien.

De eerste 4 toernooien

De top drie van elk toernooi plaatst zich voor het finale toernooi. Als een speler al geplaatst is dan verdient de eerstvolgende speler van dat toernooi een finaleplaats. Het prijzengeld voor de vier toernooien is 200,- euro.

Finale

Op 19 januari 2020 staat de finale gepland. De finale wordt gespeeld door de 12 beste spelers van de vorige vier toernooien. Zij strijden om één ticket voor de WK finale op 8 maart 2020. De overige 11 spelers verdienen een ticket voor de WK kwalificatie Frysk! op 7 maart 2020.
